It's no secret that Curbed Ski has a thing for the 21st-century ski home. We much prefer the modern look over taxidermy, too much Navajo print, and the tired cliches of thekitschy American West. So of course we're completely smitten with this 4-bedroom beauty designed by the San Francisco-based firm BCV Architects. Aptly named the Crow's Nest and located slopeside at Sugar Bowl Resort, the home was built for a skiing family of four and (per the description) prioritizes "social spaces" over bedroom space. That translates to a gorgeous double height living room, massive stone fireplace, and floor to ceiling windows. Simplicity rules the 5,600 square-foot space, but the home still boasts now-standard ski amenities like a hot tub, fire pit, outdoor dining table, and sauna. Take a photo tour, then tell us Curbediverse: are you a convert to the modern ski chalet or are you still pining for log cabins and A-frames?
