Copper Mountain, always one to get the jump on winter, started snowmaking for the season this weekend. When temps dropped to 27 degrees early Sunday morning, the guns started blowing on the Andy's Encore trail. As the Summit Daily reminds us, A-Basin and Loveland started their snowmaking soon after Copper last year. Copper Mountain's opening day is scheduled for Nov. 6.
Did we mention Copper also got a little natural snow this weekend?
It snowed last night! Thanks to one of our patrollers George for this shot from bright and early this morning. Are you ready?
